Terms and Conditions

The following constitute the terms and conditions to which applicants agree when booking any course, seminar or workshop organised by Carlos Lischetti (“T&C”). Carlos Lischetti reserves the right to review and update periodically these T&C.

General description:

Our courses are mainly focused on learning classical and modern techniques and processes of pastry and sugar-craft, with an eminently practical methodology.

Registration:

By registering to any course, seminar or workshop with Carlos Lischetti you agree to these T&C.

Duration of the course:

The duration of a course varies depending on the chosen project. Carlos Lischetti reserves the right to slightly alter the duration of the course depending on the flow of the class.

Fee:

The participation fee includes the legal value added tax.

Materials and equipment are not included in the price of online tutorials, but they are included in the price of on-site classes.

Reservation and payment:

Upon registration through our website, you will be able to proceed with the payment of the fee in full. Payment of this fee confirms your reservation and it is the only way to guarantee a place in any course, seminar or workshop.  Payments can be done:

  • Via PayPal
  • Via Credit Card (Stripe)

Cancellation (live classes):

If you need to cancel your place on the course, you must notify in writing via e-mail to workshops@carloslischetti.com. You might be entitled to a refund, depending on the date of cancellation before the workshop:

  • More than 5 calendar days: 50% refund
  • Less than 5 calendar days: no refund

Carlos Lischetti reserves the right to alter or cancel any course, seminar or workshop at any time. In the event of cancellation on our side, participants will be duly notified and may choose between rescheduling the course (if available) or a full refund of the fee. In this case, our total liability is limited to the price paid by you for the course and we are not liable for any loss, damage or additional costs incurred.

Substitution (on-site classes):

You may transfer your place on the course to a substitute. In this case, you will not receive any refund of the participation fee. Substitutions must be notified via email (workshops@carloslischetti.com) prior to the course start date.

Limitations of Liability:

We shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by you or your personal belongings during the course. By technical problems during live online workshops (for example, connectivity malfunction), please notify us right away through our e-mail address: workshops@carloslischetti.com

Personal Information:

By booking a course you allow us to use and process your personal information for any purpose related to this course. Your data will be kept as long as needed for communication or organization reasons.

Pictures and video (on-site classes)

On occasions, we take screen pictures and videos which may be used for promotional reasons (website, social channels, promotional material, etc). By booking into a course, seminar or workshop you are confirming that you are aware of this and have no objections to your image or voice appearing in any material issued by Carlos Lischetti after or during the course. However, if for any reason you do not wish to have your image, piece of work or voice used, you must notify in writing.

Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable to the other for any delay or failure to perform any obligation under these T&C (except for a failure to pay fees) if the delay or failure is due to unforeseen events which are beyond the reasonable control of such parties, such as a strike, blockade, riot, natural disaster, failure or diminishment of power or telecommunications, etc. (each a “Force Majeure Event”).

Ownership and intellectual property rights

All intellectual property rights in all training material available, including the design, graphics and text of all printed materials, are owned by Carlos Lischetti. No training material and/or content of the workshop may be copied, reproduced, uploaded, posted, displayed or linked to in any way, in whole or in part, without the prior permission from Carlos Lischetti. Any such use is strictly prohibited and will constitute an infringement of intellectual property rights.
